About Camp Marimeta for Girls

Camp Marimeta for Girls is nestled within the glorious pine forests of Northern Wisconsin. Marimeta is situated on beautiful Lake Meta, a small private lake in Eagle River, WI. Since 1947 Marimeta has been providing girls ages 7-15 the opportunity to build skills and self-confidence in a caring and loving atmosphere.

Since 1947, our family has been providing quality camping for thousands of girls. Third generation family directors, Sandy & Terry Cohen, are continuing in the tradition of offering a summer experience that your daughter will remember and cherish for the rest of their life.

Staff

The Staff, headed by Sandy and Terry Cohen, is of the highest caliber. Marimeta counselors are selected from the students, graduates and faculty of the finest schools and colleges in the United States.... and as far away as Israel and Australia. They are chosen on the basis of personality, maturity, professional training and expertise in camp skills...but most important their experience and interest in living and working with children.

Lots of Personal Attention. 165-185 campers...More than 70-80 people on staff! Our low camper to counselor ratio enables us to provide our girls with the individual attention they deserve. The counselors live right alongside the campers in the cabins.

Accomodations and Food

Campers and counselors live in cabins fully equipped with washrooms, hot and cold running water, electricity, heaters, smoke alarms, paneled walls and hard wood floors...all the comforts of home!

Food at Marimeta is second to none!!! from Prime Rib to Pizza, Marimeta campers love mealtime. A salad bar complements every dinner and our Sunday brunch is a favorite.

Medical Care is always on hand within our well stocked Health Center. A doctor and two nurses live on the grounds all summer.

Camp Marimeta is an accredited member of the
American Camping Association and the
Midwest Association of Independent Camps.
